A friend of mine recently told me about the new project she was starting. I was curious what she was up to because I haven’t seen her for quite some time. She was working on this project for almost 20 hours a day for the past four months. Everything was ready but she just had to buy a web domain name for the business. She came up with a generic name and asked me what I thought about it. I did not want to pour oil on her flames but had to tell her I thought her idea wouldn’t sell. I then went on to explain that she should pick a name that relates to what she is doing rather than trying to fit a common name. She didn’t take it well but when I last spoke with her she was thinking about a few more names.
