The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints encourages all mormon women to get an education and not just so they will have something to fall back on, but we believe in learning our whole lives. Several of the mormon women I know have gone back to school while they have small children and having classes online has really helped. They now feel more secure and even better, a great sense of accomplishment that they now have their degrees. A good friend of mine is taking a statistics class along with her daughter and they are breezing right through it.
