There have been many prominent members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints throughout its history. One of these people is Minerva Teichert. Minerva was an artist who painted many wonderful works of art which helped teach mormon doctrine. She did many paintings of scenes from the Book of Mormon, but one of her most famous paintings is of Jesus Christ in a red robe. Minerva dedicated much of her professional life to painting religious works which portrayed mormon doctrine. She is still revered by many Mormons today, and many of her works of art are in the BYU Museum of Art’s collection.
