If you are wondering where a Giant Turtle lives,the answer is on or near the Galapogas Islands.  These truly wonderful creatures can grow to weigh over 660 pounds and can live between 100-150 years.  They can also go up to a full year without any food or water!  These gentle giants were located during the 16th century by the Spanish and were named for the island they were found on.  These turtles are very rare today and the Charles Darwin Research Station is dedicated to breeding these reptiles to increase their population in the wordd.  You can also find these giant turtles at most zoos.
