Obstacles of growing corn
February 11th, 2010 . by admingrowing corn is the hardest thing I’ve ever tried. There is so much that can go wrong. The seeds have to be planted at the right depth. You have to make sure and do the planting when there’s not a chance for any more freezes. The rows have to be planted the right distance from each other to make sure that pollination between the stalks occurs. You have to make sure that you are planting the seeds in a really sunny area because corn is supposed to have full sun. You have to make sure you’re available when the corn finally comes to fruition because if it isn’t harvested as soon as they’re ready, the corn goes bad pretty quickly. I think that this will be the first and last time I’ll attempt to grow corn. Maybe next time, I’ll try growing herbs instead, it sounds like they’re a lot easier to work with.
