My husband tells me we really need to get a bark collar for our dog. I’m having a hard time choosing between the electronic Bark Collar and the citronella bark collar. I was told that the electronic bark collar administers a slight electric zap when the dog gets too loud while loud barking triggers a spray of citronella from the citronella bark collar. I can’t stand the thought of even tiny electronic shocks running through my poor puppy but my husband says it’s a more effective way to train him that he won’t have to wear that bark collar for very long. I’m going to try out that electronic bark collar for a week, I guess, to see if I can bear it. Also, if results aren’t tangible by then, I’d say it doesn’t really work.
