Staying In The New Going Out
September 21st, 2009 . by adminI would say that I am in the category of being a recessionist who refuses to pay some of the crazy prices that are charged or certainly were being charged at restaurants prior to this credit crunch. I have saved some money by cooking for myself rather than going to the bistros or gastropubs that are now on a downward spiral as people watch there money more and more. There is proof that ingredients such as flour, sugar, icing sugar, cooking oils, herbs and spices are all booming in the recession. We are also buying more snacks, such as crisps and popcorn. I know a lot of my friends like myself are now enjoying a meal at home and a TV movie which have replaced a trip to the cinema and dinner at the local pub.
