Even in high school I tried to avoid language courses.  I never seemed to quite “get” languages and everyone else had better grades.

I managed to avoid learning a second language until I was almost forty years old, when my boss told me the company was expanding into the South Florida market and everyone needed to become fluent in Spanish – in less than six months.

First I panicked, then I asked around for a user-friendly Spanish course.  A friend took pity on me and suggested I try a Rocket Spanish course.  I did and, to my surprise, I was soon speaking and understanding the language.

It’s been years since I took that course and Spanish has become my second language.  If only my high school Spanish teacher could see me now.

Being that it is Christmas time, it is great to spend a lot of time with friends and family members, celebrating this time of year. as the title of my little rant says I really don’t have a clue. i need to find and gain access to my bankruptcy records as soon as possible. i am filing for a security clearance and i have to have all the amounts, docket numbers and all pertinent information to fill in on the background security questionnaire. Is there a place on the Internet that allows me to view the file, or do I have to go down to the federal courthouse in my area and ask to view my records? I just wish i knew what i was doing.

I never thought that I would say this, but my Mother is no longer with me.  My father passed away about 7 years ago at the ripe old age of 85.  He was a great man who taught me a lot and I miss him very much.  But recently my mother at 88 passed on to be with God.  She handed over to me the executor duties and now they must be carried out.  It’s not going to be easy, but is something that I am privileged to handle on her behalf.  She was a great women who will be very missed.
